Frequently Asked Questions
Will there be a memorization round?
No, there will be no memorization round this year. Students are not expected to memorize the Surahs or Ayaahs given in the syllabus.
Is there a program for parents?
Yes, while the students are taking the written exam, there will be a session for parents in the Banquet Hall with prominent speakers. There will also be pop-up questions for parents.
Which levels are eligible for the Umrah Ticket?
The top 4 winners from level F (Grades 9,10,11&12) will compete for the Umrah ticket in a speech contest.
Will I get a participation certificate?
Yes, every participant will be given a participation certificate after the exam.
Will I get a souvenir?
Yes, every participant will be receiving a special participation souvenir.
Where can I get the syllabus books from?
The syllabus is available at the following locations:

Other online websites can be checked for syllabus availability. We will Inshallah have a booth at MCA after Juma prayers every week and books will also be available there for purchase.
Is it possible for you to mail me the books?
Unfortunately, we currently cannot handle such requests.
How many questions will there be in the written exam?
There will be approximately 40-50 multiple choice questions in the written exam. The questions will have to be answered in 30 minutes. The amount of time and number of questions will vary with the level.
If I can't go to Umrah for some reason ?
We will try to compensate it with a cash prize Insha'Allah, however this will depend on the sponsors if they can facilitate it.
I don't have a PayPal account and I don't want to open one!
You can pay by any major credit card / debit card without opening a PayPal account. Its quick and easy and our preferred way of receiving quiz registrations. If you feel uncomfortable paying online, then you can print the registration form, enclose your check and mail it to:

Does Grade refer to Public School Grade or Sunday School Grade ?
Grades in Syllabus refer to Public/Islamic School Grade, they are NOT Sunday or Weekend Islamic School grades. Kids who are home schooled can participate in the grade levels that they would be placed in, if they were to attend a public school.
My kid cannot come when the quiz starts due to another commitment. Is it possible to come late and still be able to compete in the quiz?
Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate such requests.
Will lunch be served?
We will be providing lunch to all the students in the classrooms. Parents will have to make their own arrangements for lunch. MCA has a cafeteria called Yaseen's Corner. Also, Top Deck Deli is another nearby place where Halal meals are served.
Will a video of the event be made?
Unfortunately, this is not possible for us at the moment.
What type of prizes will be given?

Will it be possible to get the test papers after the quiz?
Unfortunately, this is not possible for us at the moment.
Will I be able to find out the score on the written quiz?
